Default 12000km first service for 2005 Lambo's!

My Gallardo went in this week for it's intital 2500km first service.

They mentioned that mine was one of the last cars to get this. Next year, all 2005 model Lambo's would get their first service at 12000km.

Gosh, they must be pretty well convinced that they have got "everything" sorted. Hope they are right. At 2500km they still found a few things (nothing too major) that needed attention. My wife's Audi A3 gets it's first service also at a similar 15,000km.

Yeah, well, I suppose they're pretty similar cars - what applies to one - applies to the other - ehh?

Not sure I agree. Perhaps I'm just old fashioned, but 12000km for the first service in a Lambo?

Heck even my Chrysler PT Cruiser gets a first service at 2,500 miles.

12KM seems a little long for an oil change on such a hot running bull.

Reallistically, oil would probably last 100,000km...12,000km does not sound out of line...for a daily driver.
