Beating a dead horse, but I want one because of the sound, the power, the looks, the exhilaration, and the presence on the road that no other car can offer. People KNOW when you have arrived. It is an event when you reach your destination. It also makes other people happy to see it. It makes my day every time I see one, and so I want to bring that joy to others when I get the chance!

Most people pay 30 k for a low quality car and lose 20 k or more in a few years. Owning a pre-owned Gallardo for years may cost you a bit more but you are living a dream.

IMO people who buy used gallardos for this reason are just posers.

The reason being?

Quite the inflammatory statement, judging that this market segment alone totals at least 40-50% of forum users who buy pre-owned gallardos.

Most of the people like that are not really rich, but want other to think they are.

And you are? Maybe they don't want to take the depreciation hit. I don't see that you are a paid supporter. Maybe you are speaking about yourself.

It's not a matter of wanting people to think one is rich; it's a matter of driving a dream without taking a $ 100k hit. Apparently you don't understand why we buy and drive these. I don't understand why you're on this site. Dreaming?
