Default How low do you think the Gallardo price will drop in next 2-3 years?

Started thinking about this the other day because im in the position to buy one in the next 2-3 years. I'm only 18 right now but i've been wanting to get a Gallardo or Gallardo spyder anywhere in the range of $135,000 and below. So thats what my whole mindset has been is to save up enough so i can put a large down payment on it then just monthly payments for the rest unless you guys would consider full payment at purchase for a car like this. I dont have any major expenses in the next 4 years since ill be in school and my parents are paying for all the tuition and basically everything else so im just trying to save up my money and prepare myself for what i want to do after school (although you could say buying a lamborghini would not be the smartest thing, but its been my dream and this hard work payed off so why not treat myself to it ). But anyways regarding the price drop with the lamborghini, i've been seeing some as low as in the 80,000's right now for an 04 gallardo yet i dont know how reliable they could be but im sure some are still in great shape. How low price wise do you think they'll go? Im looking to move out to Los Angeles right after school so the less the lambo costs the more ill have for a nicer place out there. Basically just planning for the next few years so i can get a good viewpoint on budgeting for myself.

This post should be in the dreamers section.

That question is like asking how high will the stock market go. They will drop faster when new, and slower when old. Your price range will buy a "nice" car. Your price is reasonable. Nuff said.

Do you think the gallardo replacement will make much of an impact?

new models always have an impact. The 2006 coupes are now hovering around $100K, which is a bargain.

Quick search of eBay shows 11 2006 Gallardos with the cheapest one at 111K with a lot of miles on it.
Most with 10-15K are around 125K or more.

Here is a low mileage one owner for an asking price of $104k

2006 Lamborghini Gallardo | Corsa Motors

Obviously, those EBay listings are ask prices.

Dont do it. Thats all I really have to say.

Is it possible? Sure - but as you grow up and you need to pay other bills and begin to worry about other things moving forward in life.. spending EVERYTHING on a car wont be as important. Not to mention Ive read financing an exotic is getting even harder these days. Assuming you have little to no credit, may not even be an option.

My personal suggestion would be to do something more productive with your savings. Put it towards furthering your education, or starting your own business if you wish. Multiply it while you have the freedom to do so. As you get older, youll likely have more dependencies in life which may make something such as a business venture more difficult.

I already own my own business haha, how else would i be able to save over 100k at this age? Definitely not working a regular job thats for sure! But anyways i dont plan on trying any other business ventures in the near time not until i have a few million to play around with, and plus my business is growing fast so ill be plenty occupied with that! especially with attending school at the same time
