Are the upper side vents behind the small windows on the Aventador driver and passenger sides functional? If so, what activates them? Thanks.

Witch vents do u mean? picture maybe to clearify.
The air inlet vents like on the murci for water cooling are now on the aventador for on the left side for engine oil cooling and on the right side for rear differential cooling. the vent will open further (oposite direction from on the murci , the inside part come up now for like 5cm) whil only happen when the engine is extreemly hot and driving speed is over 160km/h 100miles/h. so in normal conditions verry rarely. in outside temperatures of +30degrees celcius it wil hapen sometimes.

On the new upcoming models now you can order a functional button u just press it and the whole vents and the rear spoiler will be up.

the button will be not uptional but standard in a 2014 aventador and only lift the rear spoiler . but thill de first car with this system is there we never now what lamborghini will change on thiss

Once this option is available for Aventadors i will add it to my car.

Hamad who are u and where did u get this fake info about the side vents?
Upgrading MY12 will be posible with buying the button (5min instalation work) and a software update.

If u are one off the lucky few that owne an Aventador u will remember this panel. But now with an extra button. (This is an actual picture)

That is correct for the '13 Aventadors. There is no button on the '13's which activates the side vents manually and there is no info in the Owner's Manual as to how they could be manually activated.

So 12 models have this button? I don't remember my car having this either now I have to go to garage and check
