Default Lambo Power Steering Rack

Hi Guys
Regarding power steering conversion for the 91 Diablo, I have a power steering rack removed from a 97 Roadster. It was removed as it was swapped from LHD to RHD.
It is the exact same mounting as the 91. A generic power steering pump can be coupled into the system.
I am not sure what it is worth, but it is available.
Regards,
Matt

Default Power Steering Diablo

I have bolted the rack into a 91 Diablo and it all fits. It is the same mounting geometry.

It is just a matter of running the hydraulic lines back to the engine bay and choosing a pump setup. A lot of new model cars are now using electric hydraulic pumps for steering. I think they are also being used in NASCAR?

It may seem a little scary should the electrical system fail, if it has passed DOT for these new vehicles I am sure it is very safe.

I remember a post on here previously where an electric pump was put into a Diablo in place of the belt driven. The Toyota MR2 pump is definitely a 12volt electric power steering pump.

Was it Adam that was working on that project?

Matt

The steering rack is made by TRW.I used to have the part number and I'm trying to find it.

Does anyone know TRW part or reference # ?
