Default Countach 225 x 50 x 15 front tyre

Since Pirelli quit making the 225 x 50 x 15 "P" Zero front tyre and Countach owners still use them, I called Pirelli.
They were very nice to listen to me. I asked how many tyres I would have to order to get them to make that size for us.
They said they would get back to me today. Lets hope they do not want a
10,000 tyre order

Thanks Chad. It will be interesting to see how many tires it takes for them to tool up a run.

P.S. Any news on the front shocks?

Goodness, you must already have a good relationship with them? I was never able to get any response on tires for the LM. I'm sure you could stock that one. Are they interested in selling molds, compounds, etc?

Today 15 Nov 2007, I talked to Pirelli about the front tyre for the Countach.
I was told that they were working on getting me an answer, but they would not have one until the end of this month or the 1st of Dec 2007.
I was also told that if Pirelli were to make the trye it would not be until around March 2008.
Well I feel this was progress as at least they did not flat out tell me NO.

What's their phone number? a bunch of us owners could call and start to inquire and maybe that would help push the issue.

Hello - I'm curious as to the final result on this thread - I just talked to Pirelli and they said this is discontinued and that the only small runs they do are for prototypes with the intention of big runs.
It sounds like you have better access - I would certainly be a supporter of a front tire run - otherwise we will be left out in the cold.

The last time I talked to Pirelli, they said they had no plans to make the tyre and that was that.
I even offered to buy 1000 of them, still no deal.

Default Tyres

I hate to say it but I had to go with a set of Yokohama's for my fronts two weeks ago. I figure the clock it ticking on when they will stop making the rears as well and after doing a bit of searching I've only found one company that makes the proper rear size. Coker tires and they are the same price .

I used Pirelli PZero C Semislick race tyre which is still available in that size.

To my knowledge, Coker Tire does not sell a V, W, Z, or any other speed rated tire.
ANYBODY that would buy Coker Tires and put them on the front of a Countach, is in my opinion NUTS, and their insurance should be canceled.
