I have been working on a small starter for the Lambo's, but just do not have the time to finish it. It only weighs around 8 lb and is very small when next to the big Bosch starter now on the car.
If it is the solenoid, I have one. If it starts when you bridge the wires, then you are having a voltage loss through that part of the system. Use a volt meter and check your voltages at different points along, like at the starter, the batt wire to the starter and the switch wire at the starter. Dear Lamborghinisti,
I was speaking to Mike D of Evans Automotive. He mentioned that on the early Diablos they have a large starter....the engine must come out. He said that they changed the starter to a smaller model around 96 and that one can come off without the engine-out. Shamile

ok finaly i have just got the starter out of my diablo and i did it without removing the engine or even the exhaust manifold! i went in through the oil filter/battery access panel and then cut i trangular hole out of the exterior of the two heat shield. like this it is really quite easy!
but i would like to put a small starter back in chad?? have you finished it yet? if not i guess i will be needing a solenoid. |
