RS,
I am unable to verify either way if the Jalpa windscreen will or wont fit, I was surprised that the LAMBORGHINI PARTS - DIABLO,COUNTACH,MURCIELAGO,REPLICA,AFTERMARKET and LAMBORGHINI JALPA. web site did not list a windscreen for the urraco, they do list one for the Jalpa but normally it advises all the cars that the part will fit on and it did NOT show the Urraco, but are you aware there is a Urraco 250S at eurospares, the pictures show that it has a windscreen http://www.eurospares.co.uk/breaking2.asp?page=24 I recently delt with these guys in regards to the Jalpa and was very happy with the service. Best to give them a phone call though as they are NOT the best at responding to email queries. The contact details are on the web site. PS they have both the Urraco and Jalpa and they may be able to check for you to see if the two would be interchangable, ie take some measurements of the two windscreens or even trial fit if you are lucky ![]() Worth asking they can only say no. Mike

RS,
I have uploaded this picture of the Jalpa windscreen, it also has a metal surround. Not sure how it is mounted I have not had mine out. I think lambostuff are chasing $4000US for a new Jalpa windscreen. I would expect to pay around $1000-1500 for a second hand one, but just guessing. Best of luck Mike

.
I knew a guy that swore his glass shop used a Porsche 944 outer windscreen seal on his Jalpa. .The rubber seal had to be trimmed and there was a parting line from where the seal was butted together and glued (@ the 6:00 position) by his window shop. .I do remember that the 944 did have very a very wide outer gasket, so it wouldn't surprise me if something could be cobbled together to work as well as look aesthetically correct. .Remember this is second-hand information... so I'd check with your window glass shop first. My neighbor just stopped by as I was typing this and indicated that the Jalpa windscreen seal is merely butyl tape that any good windshield shop should be able to source in an identical size. BTW - The rear windscreen gasket on the Jalpa is from the Ferrari/Dino 308GT4. The Ferrari part used to cost significantly less than the Jalpa part... although it's been many years since I made the purchase. . Last edited by ottocilindri : 06-03-2008 at 04:29 PM. |

Sorry, I misread that you had the metal surround (frame). .You wouldn't need the rubber seal... my bad. .The whole scenario reminds me of the subtle differences between the Porsche 924 and Porsche 944 windscreens. .Early 924's had a metal frame and didn't have the upper green tint; later 944's, on the other hand, had a rubber outer seal, tint, and integrated radio antenna. .The two windshields were interchangeable however. .
