I'd try GHH in Calif. first. They have alot of carpet kits for older cars.

hey Brian,

I made my carpets for my Urraco myself, if you still have the original then it's not that difficult to do. But blue carpet with a lime green car? You probably have seen that limegreen Miura.
What color limegreen is it, the original? My car is original limegreen(LAM0046)
with black interior and green piping.
Would love to see some pictures of yours.

W+W

Default Urraco Carpet

Thanks JRV!!

I took a quick look at the GAHH site. I didn't see Lambo listed at all under carpet kits, did see it under leather seats, but the Urraco is not listed. I'll contact them and see what they have to say - thanks again!!

Brenton - GAHH does list carpet under raw materials. You might also try re-originals at: http://www.reoriginals.com. Their site seems to be having a few problems at the moment (content not connection) - you can contact them at 713-849-2400. They are located in Houston. I know they used to sell raw carpet for our cars. They reproduce a lot of other stuff you might not expect - for example wiper arms ...

W+W - that's Brenton w/ the lime green Urraco (and you as well :-) ). My P250 is yellow. I've seen a P250 in lime - IMO it really works in an early 70s Lambo way (which is pretty nice!!). Though (IMO) nothing beats the Miuras in some of those wild colors ... I am having fun w/ my car!! Shoot me an email address if you can't see the attachment and I'll send it direct. Love to see pics of your car as well!!!

In the meantime - any advice on replacing carpets? I have an image in my mind of getting close and then making that crucial cut a little too generous. I assume you pulled all of your originals and used them as a pattern? How about basics like seat removal (I admit I haven't looked ...), backing material (is sound deadening at all worthwile?), adhesive, special tools, carpet source and of course any of the infamous gotchas. Thanks!!!

Bryan

this thing started out as a minor repair to a full body and engine and interior restoration,
we have done it all and it should be finished by mid march 2006

Yes, I used the old carperts as a pattern for the new ones. Made a limegreen leather piping around the (floor)carpets. Taking the seats out is basic 4 bolts.
Look for pics of my Urraco on the other forum "pics of my Urraco". Can't seem to upload them here, are to large.
