Most of these things are in the owners manual, if you don't have one in the car it's also online of the jalpa-homepage.

But there is no engine rebuild manual like for the Urraco P300.

I think most people use the Urraco engine book for major things, I got mine from Carbooks.com. Its ok, but is a copy of a copy of a copy. When I first got my Jalpa, I had to buy an owners manual. In it shows the Jalpa oil filter location in the front of the car, but it's not, it's on the front side of the engine.

That's not 100% correct, the very first cars had the oil radiator (not the filter) under the the AC radiator in front of water radiator. After Approx. Chassis 70 this was changed together with the different fueler.
The oil filter was always under the headers which are at the fire wall.

My Jalpa's oil filter is in the front of the car like in the picture. I hope you don't mind Raymond, I got the picture from your site Jalpa.ch

Question Jalpa Warranty Booklet

Does anybody have a Warranty Booklet with their car?

I have one and I suspect that it a rarity??? Mine is all original (some cover blemishes) and unused (inside is very good condition) . It contains the carbonless copy forms used for pre-delivery, owners acceptance, coupon "A" service, incremental services, maintenance schedule & ownership transfer slips used to notify the factory of subsequent sales.

I'm pretty sure it the same for the C/T

Just curious

I had the warranty book with my car and gave it together with the owner manual to the new owner with the car...

Chris, could you take a picture of your oil filter, please?
Since the later Jalpa's have no thermostat and the oil filter is directly at the engine.

Here you can see my engine/oil filter when I fixed the mounts

I also have this warranty book. I suspect because my Jalpa was a one owner car. Mine actually has the first 5k service recorded in the book by the dealers service dept.

Was the first valve adjustment done a 5000 free from the dealer? I thought I read that some where.

I suppose no dealer did this, I haven't any indication that this was done prior to mine, I checked at 68k km on the odo and it was still fine. Also my CT needed no adjustment after 40k Km.

On the Jalpa and CT the first big service after 1500km was free because this covered also the thightening of the heads, but again, I think most of the cars just got fresh oil and plugs.

My Jalpa engine wasn't ever opened before.
