It's correct, a friend of mine gave me this data after measuring for an aftermarket wheel.

The rear offset is unique and is probably because the Jalpa (and Silhouette) got flares around Urraco suspension and brakes, so the extra width had to be built into the wheel offset.
Btw, the width of the front wheel is also 7½“, not 7”. Also be careful interpreting the listed front wheel tire/ fender clearance. If you turn the wheels and go over bump, this can easily be reduced to zero. |

I'm surprised that the Silhouette wheel fits in the back, being that it's 11" wide! My thinking is I should be able to fit a wheel 18x11 with minus 40 offset in the back as long as the tires diameter is the same as or close to the 285/40x15 (23.97") diameter right?
The fronts should be 17x7.5 with the same tire diameter of a 205/50x15 (23.07). I'm I on the right track? I was thinking of going to a 8" wide front wheel.......is that too wide? |

As the thread is wheel tyre related can anyone answer me the following - I must admiit so far only considering the p.c.d. figures of both cars (but still don't know either for sure).
I have been offered a set of Lamborghini Espada 3/Jarama S wheels 15" x 7 - I would take them if they would fit my standard P250 Urraco with either modern rubber or xwx tyres - some experts tell me it's just not possible - other experts tell me it's very possible as both cars are bmw based 5/120 p.c.d. This question has raised a number of diverse opinions - I would however settle for the correct one - Any thoughts? And yes I know the car sticks to the road like **** on an army blanket so why would I want to change it - the change would only be for an aesthetically pleasing alternative from time to time. regards bax |
