Default New Jalpa for me too!

I added A 1986 Jalpa to my Diablo. I bought it sight unseen. Crazy, I know. A Jalpa can be full of problems. It could be a great buy, or it could turn to dust. The car did sit for 1 1/2 years with gas stabilizer. I need to run out the gas to truely get a sense for if it is in good shape. Took it to the mechanic to just see it, and did a visual inspection just to do it. In his words, "thats really clean.. Sounds great." Although it made me feel good, it doesnt mean a lot in the mechanic world. Time will tell if this was a smart desicion financially and mechanically. Her are the pics.

I thought everybody knew about this car. It was on Ebay for a week. I broadcasted it on L-Power and somebody did the same here. Not a lot of action on the bidding. It just kinda sat there. Maybe I paid too much at $36000 and everybody else knows it but is just slapping me on the back and smiling. Who knows. So far, so good. Its got no power compared to the Diablo, but thats not the point of this car. I like it.

Looks really nice. They are fun cars. The Jalpa fits me better than the Countach or Diablo. Different cars, but every bit as cool. As far as what you paid, you did fine. Unless something major goes wrong with the car, what you have is a free car. You will just be paying for tires, insurance, taxes, misc. You might even make something, but enjoy it either way!

Congrats, since the engine was done earlier you should be on the safe side concerning huge bills.
Can you please take a picture of the front spoiler, it really looks funny...

I asked once for a new one when mine broke, the factory said then $600 for the carbon fibre part which is simply screwed on the upper one, in case you want to have it original.

i agree w/emery. i was thinking of also bidding on it but i couldn't get out there to check it out in time so i think the way to make sure you got it was to get it sight unseen...and it looks like it worked out nicely...congrats!
