Default Jalpa Oil Filter Source

For those who are interested Baldwin Filter #BT292 is a good replacement for the cheap UPI and Napa oil filters that are commonly used (see my picture from their site referencing the original Lamborghini Part#).

Both the UPI and Napa are manufactured in third-world countries... the fromer being Romania and the later being China.

At any rate, Baldwin is primarily known for producing heavy duty filters for industrial applications. They are also the source for Ferrari and Porsche on some high-end appliactions. Baldwin has the largest R&D facility in world in what has become a mass-produced "cheep commodity" industry. They also have a tech line where you can speak to a real engineer on the phone.

Incidently, for those of you who are interested, the Napa Gold oil filter # is 1283

Baldwin Oil Filter Info:
PART NUMBER: BT292

Description: Full-Flow Lube Spin-on
Contains: Anti-Drainback Valve
30 PSID By-Pass Valve
600 PSI Max

The Purolater # is L30260 at Pep Boys. They stock it, but didn't have it on the shelf. When the guy working there found it, he ask me "what in the world does it fit?" When I told him "Lamborghini", he looked back at the filter like it was gold! 6 bucks worth anyways.
