Default Jalpa exhaust options

I am going to replace my exhaust this winter while I am getting an engine rebuild.

My options seem to be Stebro or Quicksilver. Are there others? I am leaning towards Quicksilver because it will most likely be easiest. The rebuilder I hope to use is a quicksilver dealer (Evan's Auto). Stebro installers seem to have fitting and collector issues.

Performance is most important to me. Nice sound is more important than loud. A little more volume would be fine, but I do not want ear shattering. No emission worries.

What do people recommend?

Stebro has two different exhaust choices. I have ordered the LOUDER version and should have by next week. I will post video when it is installed and give a review on it.

Those sound clips are great! They gave me the giggles. I think that might be a bit loud for me. I hope to make some long trips in the car and not be hearing impaired on arrival. Sounds truely awesome! but a bit much for extended seat time.

Any stories or opinions about any exhaust system are greatly appreciated!! I would love some reviews and opinions. Those sound clips kicked ass and gave me a great sense of how loud the Stebro can be. I assume that was the louder race system. Again, freaking awesome, but that volume might be too much for what I want to do with the car.

Thanks guys!! Keep the reviews coming if you have them!!

I posted those vids and will say this:
While the Stebro I have (the racing model) is loud, it's not always that loud. It gets very loud in the lower gears as you increase RPM's, but if you take it easy the sound is not bad at all, especially in the higher gears.

Good to know! I might consider them then. The sound is truely incredible. Is the car reasonably quiet on the highway then? (relative to stock)

When in 4th and 5th gear. you really have to floor it to get that super loud effect. Otherwise when running on the highway it's obviously louder than stock, but not nearly as noticable than in the lower gears.

Its no problem talking to eachoter inside when running on the higway? Is it to loud to drive it for a long distance? Is it unconfortable for your ears driving in 4. and 5. gear on the higway?

Best regards
Daniel

Has anyone heard, or know of anyone who has a Quicksilver exhaust on a Jalpa?
