I'm not paying that much.

Well the weather finally broke Monday (for one day) and Evan's got my Jalpa warmed up enough to adjust the carbs!

Now the bad news... I bet you can guess if I tell you I had an MSD ignition installed! Yup, my tach is on it's way to CA for modification. Should be a couple of more weeks for that.

Oh yea, My vent tube on my lower air box (the ones I ordered from Lambo through Lambostuff.com) has to be moved. It interferes with the throttle linkage. So Karen, my wife is picking it up in her way home from dropping my daughter off at college in Columbus today. Those air boxes have been more fun than riding a dead horse! I need to get that modified and get my Jalpa home so I can finish fabricating an Airfilter Box before the weather starts to turn nice.

It appears I may get my Jalpa soon!

The engine is tuned and Evan's is going through the electric (seems mine is having unusual electrical problems, HAA).

Here's a few more pics. You'll notice the new Volt Meter replacing the Amp Meter. And take a look at the butcher job somebody did on the harness. I'm guessing that is were someone installed a cheap cut-out switch that Evan's removed for me.

I'm hoping to get it to my shop soon so I can build a new filter box and get the wing either adjusted to the correct angle or remove it and get the holes pluged in the trunk.

Default Jalpa carby spacers

Ross, you may like to check that the carby spacers are in, here is a photo of my intake manifolds (before cleaning), the air cleaner base plate sits on top of these spacers (with another gasket). This could also explain the clearance issue you have with the accelerator linkage arms you get another 6-7mm clearance. if you have a mirror and torch or get George to check to make sure they are in and in the correct spot. It is possible that they were put aside during cleaning and not put back on or possibly put in on top of the base plate but still under the carbs. Just my thoughts.

Thanks Mike I'll check that tomorrow. I'm heading down to Evan's tomorrow with some R12 that I've had laying around since the early 90's. Once he charges the AC all that's left is some weather stripping and a signal light! Once the roads clean-up again they'll be able to put a few miles on it and then my baby comes home! WOOOO HOOOO! Seven months!

Once I write that check (and I start breathing again) I'll have the itemized list so I can start answering all the PM's I've been getting. One thing I can tell everyone that I will do different next time is I'll have the engine torn down and inspected then get an estimate so I can have a better idea of what I'm getting myself into.

I vote keep tha jalpa looking like it did when it left the factory.

You don't own the car, you're just looking after it, for the next generation.

I can't make my mind up about the wing. Without it rear vision is pretty good. I have taken mine off, and I end up putting it back on each time. The general public really almost expects a wing on a Lamborghini. I can't tell you how many times I have had a milf come up and each time she will put her hand on that wing. Don't know, don't know.
