It'll be a shame to cover those beautifull carbs with the Air Boxes!

I am so close to fullfilling a 34 year dream! I have to admit that the pictures have really choked me up! I don't know how I will react if I ever manage to get ahold of a Countach or Diablo! Gotta keep working hard!

What do you think about the black and gold cam covers?

The cam covers look great, I plan on doing something similar to mine. Is the engine bay on the car getting any detail attention also?

Ross,
That engine looks awesome George looks like he has done a really good job. Engine looks like it could have come straight from the factory when new. Plus with George's improvements it should last longer and run better.
It doesn't look like it will be far off going back in the car.
Mike

I used them as well when I rebuilt my Jalpa last year, They are much easier to put in and remove than the original tubes.

Ross,
Are you planning any other work on the car such as rebuilt shocks, new springs, new brake lines etc....

Aftermarket VW. By the looks of the posts here it seems that that is a popular choice!

They really do look good. Notice that the cap screws are painted gold also. I think that really makes it complete.

They are sorting out the engine bay and detailing it.

Can't wait!

It sure looks like we have the same engine color going. Are the headers ceramic coated? I had Jethot coat mine.

I'm not sure. I haven't had any time to look over the car and George and Mike haven't commented on it other than it is in really good condition.

Thanks! I may have the car sooner than I thought but now that the salt has been poured on the road for the winter it will have to sit inside my shop till the spring rains can clean the roads.

Yes they are ceramic coated, but i've been told that Jethot is the best way to go!!

Too bad about the salt on the roads and having to wait to drive your baby.
