That would be great! I'd like to keep it original if possible. I don't think I can build one as good as the factory.

Thanks Lambotsavy.

I need to touch up the body but it's in great shape. The next department is the interior. It needs a little help. Mechanically, close to perfect. Got alot in it but they are just to special to be abused and forgotten!

Here's the latest video. My first Drive was last Friday 3/21/08. Sorry for all the Truck noise in the background. This video was shot at Evans Automotive. That's George Evans driving the Jalpa. I hope you guys like it.

It's Home!!! I took delivery today at 5:15 PM. I can't contain the happiness I'm feeling about taking delivery of my very first Lamborghini. It sounds and runs incredible.

I'd really like to give great kudos to George and Mike at Evans Automotive. They were professional from the very start and have become great friends during this trip. I can't wait to get number two and have them get at it.

Ross,

It looks like this rebuild took about 6 months? I will be sending mine to Evan's when ever I sell my house (might be a while). I wanted to get a sense of how long it might take? Your car looks superb!

Chris

Thanks Chris

It depends on what you have them do. Mine was really extensive, High performance core in the radiator, new MSD ignition system, New fuel system with braided lines, modified fuel filter, new kevlar clutch and thow-out, new pistons, valves and seats, carb rebuilds, ceramic headers, sniffer tubes, complete tear down and rebuild of engine. Basically everything but the front suspension and brakes. The big wait was on parts.

Good-luck on selling that house and have fun with George and Mike.

Ross,

Good to know. I have had my carbs rebuilt (superbly done by an expert) as well as the water pump and several of the accessories. I have a nasty sounding clang coming from deep inside my engine. I am thinking rods or cam trouble? Only way to find out is to take it all appart. While it is being done, I am going to get a better MSD put in along with engine mounts, valves and some other recommended upgrades from Evan's.

I was surprised it took so long for your build before I realized all that you had done. Part waiting included, 6 months is not bad at all.

Thanks for the info.

Especially in winter. She stayed warm and dry in his shop. When they're not on the rack they are stored inside. That's a nice room to visit. There's always 10 or 12 Lambos in there waiting their turn. Really awsome.
