Default JALPA on ebay...

this one just hit ebay....it's been privately for sale for a while since i spoke to him a while back...the rear wing is strange - it also says it's a US spec car but the engine doesn't look so...does anyone know if its possible to have the 3 bolts on top of the carb covers and still be a US car?

The VIN says it's an US-Version: #ZA9JB00A0HLA12356

JB = Jalpa after 1985, US specs.

I suppose sombody removed the boxes around the carbs and installed Urraco air collectors instead, the equipement at the luggage compartment and at the water expansion bottle shows clearly "not Euro spec".

thanks raymond. the seller told me it has the 3 bolt top carb covers because he had 'bob wallace' re-furb the carbs and re-do the covers.

Now I should only update my registry according to what I've written here...

Hey Sly Cy,
That car is just a couple of miles from me! I've seen it in person about 4 times, as he does take it out on occasion. I've spoken with Craig as well. Nice, kind of quiet. Don't know why he's not a member of this site, but he has a couple of other Italian cars I believe. Yes, it has been for sale for a while, but he's never gone out of his way to advertise it.

Auction just ended. Winning bid $42,800. Jalpa's will continue to appreciate IMO.

Oh, Sly, sorry I didn't get back on the board before the auction ended. For the condition of the car in person, could definitely use a color sand and polish. Well, actually, probably could use a good detail in general. I would have said that $47 was high, but Craig was probably trying to get most of his money back from the Bob Wallace service. Not a trailer queen but definitely a great driver.
