Default Does anyone have a Stebro Sport Exhaust on their Jalpa

Does anyone have a Stebro Sport Exhaust on their Jalpa. I have just purchased one from EBAY for $1,250. Does it enhance perfomance and is there much difference in the sound of the car. Thanks.

I think it's a SS copy of the famous Ansa Urraco P300/Jalpa exhaust, Quicksilver and Larini in UK produce it as well.

Could you please post some pictures?

Here is a pic of the Stebro system that is being delivered to me. I will post more pics after the system has been installed on my Jalpa.

Hmm, I like the Ansa design more... but for sure yours will sound great with those small mufflers and spit small purple flames like mine did

This picture shows an original Ansa, it's normal metall not SS

Raymond
Stebro also made the exhaust model (shown below) for the Jalpa, which looks more like the Ansa system. The one I bought has smaller resonaters than the one depicted below.

The 4 tips are too much ime, all the V8's had only two except one version of the urraco P250.
But that's a matter of personal taste, I would buy a stebro too when located in US, price is a bargain!

What needs to be done or adjustments made to a Jalpa on a US spec car when you put on a free flow exhaust system and remove the cats and air pump? Is it a carb adjustment only? And does it make it run richer or leaner?

A freeflow exhaust causes a leaner mixture, normally the mechs just screw up the CO with the idle mixture screw, right way would be to install bigger main jets.
That's the theory, effectively you don't need to do anything as long as the car runs well,, they run rich enough when the throttle is open, idle mixture is set to an appropriate level using the emission tester and set lambda ~1.
