I have seen 3 or 4 variations on the side skirts. I think it was an option from the factory. About 25% of the cars I have seen have them and they seem to be a global thing. I have only seen the style of side skirts on my car appear on 3 other cars.

I have never gotten a solid answer as to wether they are in fact original. I know at least one Geneva show car had them. They are not listed as an option in my part catologue, but that could be a time of printing thing. If they are after market, I have never heard where they come from.

Anyway, lots of Jalpas have them and I am not sure where they come from.

I never heard or saw a factory jalpa with side skirts, be aware that many Geneva cars were cars of the swiss importer...

When I purchased my original Jalpa in 86. The dealer mentioned a factory wing for big $$$ as an option, but nothing about side skirts.

I think they were added aftermarket. For those that remember the times, different rocker panels, boxed and flaired were put on everything. Many Countachs got them as well. I can remember seeing them on Porsches and BMWs as well.
