Default Leatherique Review: 2 Vehicles - 2 Products

I went about applying the Leatherique products (Rejuvenator & Pristine Clean) on two very different subject vehicles.

The first test vehicle is a 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. It has the beige/white inner leather which I figured would a great test for the review. The Explorer seats were a mess, heavily soiled.

The second test vehicle was 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. All black leather interior. The leather was in great condition before the test started.

Process:

-Clean with APC.
-Cover center console/seat belt receptacles with towels and rags.
-Apply the Rejuvenator Oil by hand.
-Let the oil sit (3) hours.
-Clean and wipe away remnants with Pristine Clean.

Final Impressions:

The leather on both vehicles is much, much, more supple and soft after testing. Leatherique smells great, a nice natural smell that is reminiscent of fresh new leather. The Ford's leather was cardboard hard. After applying two coats it was considerably softer.

After my review, I can make the generalization that the Leatherique products work great on conditioning the leather but lack true cleaning power. I was very impressed with the results on the Crossfire, which was well cared for. The leather is now incredible soft. On the other hand, the Ford produced lack luster results due to the heavily soiled leather.

Update: After good 24 hours from application I can say the leather is even softer. It seems the Rejuvenator keeps on working deep in the leather even after applying Pristine Clean.

did this stuff make the leather shiny? my G. has beautiful leather on the console, but everything I've tried to clean it with except soap seems to have silicone or something in which makes it shiny. I've been trying to find somethingwhich will treat and protect it without making it look like nissan...

This is a natural based process, it leaves no shine or film on the leather.

You probably have had previous experience of a luxury hire car. It can take a while to shop around for the best deals, sometimes when everyone wants to hire the very cheapest cars there isn't much difference in price for a luxury car; companies are forced to drop prices to make use of their entire fleet. Generally for not a huge amount of money you could be driving around in something very special. Whether you want to make the right impression on a business trip or feel like travelling in luxury whilst you relax on holiday a luxury hire car will be the answer.
