Default Espada

Evan's Automotive (www.evansauto.com) (01.614.471.7535) has a very original Espada going up for sale. I saw it Friday, 12/7/07, and it is very solid. I see it's not on his web sight yet. Thought you gear heads may want a "Heads Up". I'd love to own it but I enjoy being married! He's looking for $50,000 US. If I remember correctly it only had about 36,000 k on the odometer. The carbs have just been rebuilt but other than that It looks to be a well kept original. I understand that it was featured in a book and a copy of the book comes with the car. Call George Evans for more info than I can give here. The only other insight I can give you of this 37+ year old car is that, George tells me, the lack of valve seals allows the engine to smoke a little bit, the interior is in average to good shape for the age and there are minor cosmetic issues that will keep you busy on weekends when you're bored.

Bought an Espada S3 , former US car. Serial number 9462.

Will try to start it real soon , must do some checks first. (maybe I have to pull the engine for rebuild, but I hope not.)

UPDATE : Arrgghhh.... must pull the engine , low compression on 3 sylinders , at least ring failure.....possibly more.

Engine runs freely though , so I am hoping for an easy rebuild. I will redo the heads anyway , as some modifications would be fine , concerning valve leak and so on... I will be back wiht more info later !

Jon
