Default Countach High Idle

I took my 88.5 FI countach out for a drive last night. After 45 minutes of driving all temps were normal yet the high idle never dropped down. After the 45 minutes she still idled at 2100, usually she drops to 1200 after she warms up. The outside temp was 45 degrees F. Does outside temp have anything to do with this. If not what do I look for to get the idle to drop back to normal after she is warm.

Thanks for all your help

This question is interesting to me, I just had the same thing. (2100 rpm) and never dropped (Last night). I have a MY84 CT FI. I checked all adjustable parts, no idea what else can be done!

Do the Countach's have additional air valves like the Diablo's for cold starts? if they do, you can check the air valves to by pinching the 3/4" to 1" diameter hose, with the engine running right after you start it, one on each side above the valve covers, if you pinch the hose and the car idles down, the valves are not closing, check your fuse box, there is also a fuse for these.

Did what you said and pinched off those air hoses and it worked the idle fell. So what needs to be replaced so i dont have to drive around with clamps on my hoses? Thanks again.

I checked all the fuses which are in the glove compartment none seem to be blown. How can I check to see if it is the valves or the power going to them?

I think there is another smaller fuse box close to the ECU'S.
You can check for power to valves with a cheap multimeter from a store like Radio Shack or any auto parts store really.
