Default Best investment, lp400S or DD-carb car?

With personal likes aside, what would be the best investment, an LP400S 80-81' model or an 86' DD-carb car? I like them both equally but for long-term which would be the best investment? Where do you think prices of each will be in 2-5 years considering that they are in very good condition? Thanks

Probably invest in Pfizer, PFE on the NYSE; or maybe Budweiser.

Probably the earlier the better, if you are betting. The down draft might be more fun though. Either way it's a good pick.

The only interestingg LP400s are the series one, otherwise buy a DD QV.
DD QV rulez every other CT, performance, lookwise and build quality.

imo all the 4 liter cars are appreciating now more than the later ones, even the later hi roof S2

well to be honest all the countach are on the rise

this is the best buy imo(strictly on investment):
1-LP400
2-LP400S
3-DD
4-5000S 2V carb
5-QV FI - 25th carb

if you plan to drive it a lot and have fun with it nothing beats the DD

Remember you are buying a used car - each car has to be evaluated.

I am super satified with the '86 downdraft - w/o side skirts and with a wing.

In today's market good, clean, well maintained and original Countaches are few and far between. You need to evaluate each car as it comes into the market - In such deals money talks - a good example will not stay on the market very long. As little as 1 year ago there were dozens of C/T cars on the market - today only some 25th - here in Europe the "average" C/T asking price is about $150.000.

In 1999 these cars were $40,000-$45,000.

Alex

Hi Raymond,

Now I have mine back and running perfect, really strong and powerfull. I will be selling it soon.

As it is the only registered one in Spain and there is so much black money here I bet I get at least 150K Euros for my 84 2V.

I will let you know

wow, not bad for a LP5000s, well you invested nearly as much time as I did on mine. Since I'm outside the EU things are a little more complicate. But I sold my Jalpa to Germany in may, was no problem.

Question

This may or may not be true, but I was told that the cars that are last on the list would be anything fuel injected. The fuel injected cars are US only, so outside US no one would buy & ship them. You would be counting on a future US sale if you had one.
