I am partially blaming myself for this. But, I gave my lambo to my broker over the weekend to get a wheel fixed. It comes back to me with 450 miles more than when I last saw it and the wheel wasnt fixed- at least the visible part of it. On top of that, the seat had belt marks all over it which wouldn't come out. He is sending someone out tomorrow to remedy it- we will see. I am extremely upset, but partially blame myself for ever letting the car out of my possession. The broker is sending someone to fix the seat, but the "deal" has somehow fallen apart. I strongly suspect there was never a deal and that my car was driven around for a 450 mile joy ride all week. The broker is a very young guy (26) who just started a local dealership, but did have a number of nice cars for sale and seemed to know the "society" within town- we knew some of the same people.

1. What should I do, if anything?
2. When you broker a car, is it customary to relinquish possession? Shouldn't there be some understanding about the number of miles, who drives it, etc?

The hood looks extremely angular with HUGE vents. The material also looks interesting. This is way more radical than I would have expected. Really looks like they went all out.

At first I thought it was a Gallardo but sure enough it was the new Jota prototype! It was still in camoflauge but it was already hot as hell! The sound was a bit deeper than the murcielago, but VERY lambo.

I know this thread is completely worthless without pics but I still wanted to share the experience. I was cheering like a little kid in my car :whip:

You can see details on the event here Exotics On The Square - A Charitable Event Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters.

We left around midnight and this gauntlet of people lined up with cameras that we all had to drive through to get out. Was a crazy experience being there with all those people in Times Square and the roar of the exhausts of all the cars. Definitely going back next year. Event was to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters NYC.

I need some advice from seasoned as well as other 1st time owners. I've always driven high end cars such as BMW Coupes, Infiniti G37's and cars of that class. I'm now thinking about getting an 08 Murcielago LP640. I've been a lover of Lamborghini's since I was 11 years old and when I got married I told my wife, my first daugther was going to be named Lamborghini. Needless to say she shot it down, if I wanted to marry her. My quesiton is, I know its going from one end of the spectrum to the other, but will this car be too much for me to handle considering that I never even drove stick before (this particular model I'm looking at is automatic). Just thinking about this car causes me to hyperventilate. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious on this topic and wanted to POLL everyone here. I am curious to get anyones opinion as a owner of an exotic what the hardest to find after market products, services, or information have been from your experience? For example, I needed some touch up paint for my ' 05 Orange G so after some digging on the internet and reviewing the forums here, I found a website that could custom mix it for me and sell it to me, but it was not easy to find my exact color match, was very expensive, and I have no way of knowing if its an exact match like a dealer would have.

What are some other items you have searched for in the past and spent your valuable time researching that would be nice to have one website or vendor to be able to go to if it was available from a reputable vendor? (like high quality authenticated touch up paint as an example)

Ever wondered what happens to those supercars used by the general public on experience days? I've heard tales before of how it's a pretty cheap way to own a car you would never otherwise be able to afford / justify (the rental income less running costs pay for it). This month Evo Magazine had a very interesting article to illustrate the point; one which also adds an interesting new angle to the drive it vs polish it debate....

SG54LAM, bought for the Evo fleet in 2004, retired with 44,000 miles on the clock in 2007 since which time it's been an experience day hack

Total Mileage: 63,557
MPG This Month: 12
Cost's to date: £67,554
(routine servicing and repairs, 5 clutches, 118 tyres, top end rebuild, bodywork repairs)

It's probably fair to say that as recently as a decade or so ago it would have been nigh on impossible to pen a report about an Italian super car that had covered one hundred thousand miles, let alone one well on it's way to twice that. It just goes to show how far Italian engineering has come - with a little help from AUdi in this case...

It was September 2004 when SG54LAM poked it's snout out of the Lamborghini Manchester showroom for the first time with just 67 miles on the clock. Today, some 163,557 miles later, the orange monster is still here, hammering around tracks as well as covering a fair few road miles too. Over the past five years a staggering 5,788 customers have been behind the leather-clad wheel on the driving experience days I help run, and 24 of those have put it into the scenery thanks to it's notoriously unforgiving bite.

Yep, the old lady has traversed ploughed fields, shot up grass banks and even spent an hour or so grazing in long grass before being dragged backwards onto the tarmac once more. Of course, the income generated by the car at these events outweighs the cost of repairs (and what initially look like outrageous servicing costs). Those costs aren't so bad given the very hard life the car lives, though and with the exception of the crankshaft pulley sheering in 2006, it's been virtually bomb proof. Maintenance has been mostly routine, consisting largely of items related to the cars track heavy life, such as ball joints, track-rod ends and brakes.

Rather like an aircraft fuselage, SG54 has also been subject to continuous updating along the way. In my last report I mentioned that the original front brakes had been upgraded to LP640 spec, necessitating the matching wheels be fitted too. Since then the paintwork has also been updated, with an SV-style matt black finish for the lower body and rear, while LP640 LED rear lights have completed the transformation of the car's fat rear end.

Further improvements are on the way, including a full interior re-trim in black leather and a top-end engine rebuild that won't be cheap at around £15,000, but which should take the car all the way to 250,000 miles. I often get asked how much the car is worth these days and the honest truth is I really don't want to know, but I suspect the depreciation on the original £167,000 is well into six figures. It doesn't

I had service done on my '04 Gallardo and in a little under two years, and only 4,200 miles driven, the problem reoccured. I was told by another dealer that service work is covered for 2-years, but the dealer that performed the work is stating they only warranty for 6 months on parts and one year on labor?

Does anyone know Lambo's service warranty's specifics?

Also, I was also told that one Lambo dealer can not repair another dealer's warranty work. Is this correct, even if they are both authorized lambo dealers?

Thanks in advance for all your help!
