I would be interested in the information you have in the books, as well as the photos
. It is interesting how there seems to be so much variation in all the cars? I guess it depends on which country the car was initially built for, I believe my car was initially sold to Germany.
I have not seen any wiring associated with the cannister, my car could be a little earlier than yours (1984) and maybe earlier emmisions requirements.
