Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss is actually designed specifically to NOT remove wax, as all car wash shampoos are.

You can remove a layer of wax with:

Dawn
P21S Total Auto Wash
Prep-Sol (Grease & Wax Remover)
Extra-High Dilution of Car Wash Shampoo
50/50 IPA (rubbing alcohol diluted 1:1 with filtered water)

The car wash shampoo is the least likely of all to remove it.

Yes, it is sad that some do not take the time to learn how to do a proper detail but I am spreading the good word as fast as I can.
