Resale is hard to guage in this economic climate. If your looking for an investment, by antique gullwing. If your looking for a car, buy the one you love. Just expect about 5K-10k a year in maintenance ($6500 for dealer installed clutch, additional $1,500 if you need a thow out bearing, 7000 mile oil change $520, computer diagnostic $120 per visit). I made sure my 2004 had all of the dealer updates before I purchased it, so now its no different than any other year.
I ve heard that the clutch on manual last only 6000 miles, is this true?
In that case, if I drive 8000 miles per year, I have to replace the clutch every year. Thats $6500 down the drain per year.

Why do I have to replace the bearing? Do I need to replace the timing belt every year as well? How much?

Here is the quick run down of how much it will cost for maintenance per year

$6500 clutch
$1500 bearing
$520 Oil change
$120 Test
Bearing ??
____________
$8640 Damn!

The Gallardo Im looking at 2004 with 8000 miles for $124k or 2006 with 5000miles for $146k, which one is a better deal down the road? the 2004 is from an avg joe dealer, not a lambo dealer. The 2006 is from a Bentley/Lambo dealer. Is it "Safe" to buy it from an avg joe dealer? How much discount is reasonable, $10k?

But If I were to get the Porsche TT, I would prob send only 600$ per year on oil change and thats about it.
