And now for something completely metaphysical....

I was wondering if there are general differences between the pre-Audi Lamborghini and the current Lamborghini. I'm not talking about specific performance improvements as to each successive model, but rather "feel" - are the earlier cars "more Italian"? Aside from better reliability, has the German influence changed the nature of the cars in subtle ways? Has there been a true marriage of the best of both worlds?
