On the other hand, if your state collects tax on a montly basis as they do in California, then it increases your buying power as you only pay tax up front on the down payment amount and then you pay tax on the monthly payment amount...made with your payment. Naturally, there are added benefits such as write offs, etc...but that's your accountant's job.

Yes it's true that the Gallardo only has a 2 year warranty. Right now there is no extended warranty available through Lamborghini, although I heard this might change one day...so all MY04's and most MY05's are already out of warranty. There is one company that offers some sort of extended warranty but from what I've heard, it's VERY expensive and even more difficult to get a claim approved.

Service can depend on previous owner, driving habits and mileage. The intervals are around 1500, 3000, 7500, and 15k...give or take. Cost is realtive to what the car needs at the time of service.

Early MY04's had some issues and no front lift. 05's were improved and the front lift was standard. MY06 cars had improved gearbox, bump in hp and improved performance/handling (plus the callisto wheels came available in MY06 which were a HUGE improvement in the wheel department).

If you're payment shopping then the long term purchase works as lease payments will be for a max terms of 5 years and are usually higher than purchasing. It's all in what works for you. Good luck, and when you're ready, we'd be happy to help you find the right car and set you up with financing.

Determining extended properties...
Thanks for the informative post.

I think a 2005-2006 ( dont want a spyder )with egear is what I am looking for. I also agree, long term financing best suits my needs. I will keep the car for a long time if not forever.

I think a good downpayment plus long term financing would be the best to go. Already called State Farm and they can do $170/month on it.

I am currently looking at this one on Ebay. It is in Florida so it is local to me:
eBay Motors: Lamborghini : Gallardo (item 220227894111 end time May-04-08 06:33:09 PDT)

thanks for all the help.
