I did get it, yes.
I've been busy, I apologize for the delay in posting anything.
I did get the car a few weeks ago. Despite a few little dings and some paint issues, it really is very tight when driven. I notice it especially when driving on rough roads, etc. As for the brakes, they are definitely different than the originals in that they take a little while to "warm up." As someone who has never driven a Porsche, I'm not sure if this normal. Once they are warm they provide adequate stopping power, but I actually prefer the added feel of the original brakes in my old Jalpa vs. the "on/off" feel of these. I might have them switched back.
The interior is really in perfect condition save for the opening closing mechanism on the glove box - the trunk even smells like new carpet. Speaking of which, does anybody know a cross reference part # for a new trunk strut? I suspect this one was rarely ever opened and eventually just lost its pressure. Also, the instrument lights are quite dim even after turning up the little switch - I'm wondering if a bulb burned out?
There are a few little things I want to do (one of the fog lights is out, etc) and I'm going to have it tuned up as the carbs are a little bit off in my estimation. However, it idles quietly and right at 1000rpms. For the most part, I'm just happy to have it. After I get it back from the shop, I'll take some pictures for you guys.
I can already tell that keeping the miles low is going to be very tough - I've already increased the miles by 200 miles (or 7% of existing miles!!!!)
