I have not driven a F430 but here are a few considerations:

- The F430 seems "faster" on paper
- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the Gallardo has undoubtly more road presence and sheer "look at me factor" than the Ferrari
- The F430 does sound better than the Gallardo (with stock exhausts)
- Residual values for the F430 here in Japan are much, much stronger than the Gallardo (second hand F430s trade at par or at slight premium over new, while the Gallardo tanks in price)
- F430s are common as muck here while the Gallardo is a true exotic.
