The GT-R is an impressive machine but Nissan is keeping a very tight leash on it, so to say, to ensure it doesn't get tweaked or sold in the secondary market.
So, removing the 180kmh speed limiter or selling the car within 1 year of ownership will void the warranty (here in Japan, at least).
From what I was told by a Nissan dealer, servicing will be as expensive as Lambo's/Ferrari's, making me feel Nissan is trying to recuperate some of the money they may be subsidising the sticker price of the car, via expensive servicing.
