It seems to me that you are pretty set with Gallardo. Nothing's wrong with it. I myself owned a 2008 Gallardo Spyder with E-Gear. IMO, Porsche is for daily driving and Gallardo is for weekend. You ask about the possible problems - well, clutch replacements and high cost of maintenance as compared to Porsche are few of the cost considerations. But just like I said on my previous response, IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT, I would go for Gallardo. Maybe not as fast as Porsche Turbo but in my opinion, THE BEST INVESTMENT FOR THE HEART.
Gallardo surely will put a smile on your face whenever you drive it.
