You should not need to use the throttle.
I just came back from a trip to GA. It was 31 degrees in the morning. The car (97.5 Roadster ) was outside the whole night. The windshield was covered in frost. It started just fine but took awhile to warm up with the carter motor doing it's ballet with the engine (up, down etc.)
Getting the doors to stay up was tougher. In FL, it's not an issue
I think the LDAS software is a dealer only item. (don't quote me ! )
