I'd go with a set of JL Audio Evolution ZR Comonent speakers. I don't know off the top of my head what size the Murci's speakers are, but I'm guessing 6 1/2 in., or possibly 5 1/4. And in terms of the Ipod, I wouldn't go with the hardwired FM. I haven't heard good things about them. The product your going to want is a JL Audio Clean Sweep. It will let you directly connect an Ipod and give as good of sound as any other product on the market (Including after market head units). You keep your OEM head unit and connect Ipod to the Clean Sweep. This product also increases sound quality to your speakers. I won't bore you with how it does it, but with a quality set of speakers like the ZRs I mentioned, it will make a huge difference. Heres a link that will have all the info on the JL products:
