Here's the pictures of the air boxes. After thinking about it all weekend I'm wondering if that tube isn't supposed to be tied into the charcoal filter? I don't think you guy's outside the U.S. have charcoal filters. We use them to trap fuel vapor.

No, nothing to do with the charcoal filter, these tubes are like on the P300 for the crankcase vent, I suppose they don't have P300 parts anymore and made them from the Jalpa fibreglass since it looks like glued later on.
On the Jalpe this is for nothing because the crankcase vent goes onto the base plate of the rear bank.
