Small world and all that. I’m from UK, live in Phuket, and have just bought a place in KL under the ‘Malaysia my Second Home’ scheme (MM2H). Amongst other benefits, I can import one car tax and duty free.

This is a huge concession – import tax alone exceeds 100%. So I’m bringing my Countach from UK: it’s in a shipping box right now.

The guys there are extremely friendly and helpful. Labour rates are around MYR 120/hr.

They sell new cars too; there was a Murciélago in stock in the showroom. They told me they have sold a few this year already.

The only possible downside is that parts are expensive because of the import duty. But this is clearly offset by the labour rate.
