Of course the Diablo is the newer better etc. but as some already stated the driving experience is more thrilling in a CT.
Performancewise the Diablo is not that superior, I drove already 2wd, 93-VT, SV and VT6.0.
They best Diablo IME is the VT6.0, lovely carbon dashboard, perfect brakes and a lot of torque.
The early diablos remind me a lot on the CT with a huge back end which makes it difficult to drive in narrow roads.

That's one big advantage of the CT, it's much less wide, the overall width with mirrors is 2m whereas the Diablo is about 2,25m.
