Why were you surprised he knew what it was? At least the kids got the country of origin right. Plus, you didn't have to spend Aston $$
I drove a Maserati Biturbo in high school, and it wasn't a question, but a girl called it "quirky". Almost nobody pronounced it right.

I actually feel proud to have brought that little bit of "culture" to our school. I've always been pretty eccentric. I do remember though, that almost everyone thought it was one of those Chrysler / Maserati things. Many say that the Biturbo range was the worst thing that ever wore the trident. They seem to have forgotten the TC. Besides, the Biturbo saw the company through the 80's, and without it, It probably would have fallen off the face of the earth. Sorry for the tangent.
