That is NOT the norm at all. I have driven my cars in the most severe weathers, including pushing it over 150 MPH in Death Valley last year...no issues...

I am sure they will take real good care of you and get you back on the road in no time.


The one thing I will add is you should NEVER over fill these cars, you know click click click the fuel house for the last drop...and they should not be filled in the high heat day time, espically if they are near empty...this is NOT good for the fuel system, not only on these cars but all closed fuel systems with cats....causes for un burned fuel vapors to escape through the exhaust system and mis fires...

I never run my FI cars under a 1/8th of tank, and when ever possible always fill up when the temps are cooler, early evening...or early AM.
