I have gone through the same considerations with my white Jalpa, which (sometime in the near future) needs a re-paint as well.

There are some pearl whites (on Audi, Toyota, etc.) that look really good (very clean white), but since it is not a brand new car, I really prefer ease of (paint) maintenance. Also the particular shade of the original white on the Jalpa looks really good in the sun, so I prefer “just” duplicating the original paint and hopefully with one of better quality (no micro-cracks especially on the deck-lid).

With that in mind I voted original yellow.
Hmm, if I am not the one to do the maintenance, maybe Giallo Midas would be better.
