There are software and hardware upgrades available for the e-gear Gallardo. Last I heard they were upto upgrade "E".
I'm not sure how you can tell which version of the software is installed on your car, other than your dealer hooking up to the car and him telling you what version is installed.
They can also tweak you e-gear software. Once they do something go around the block a couple of times and see if you like it, do it a couple of times until it feels the way you like it
