Default For all you DIY oil changers out there - Gallardo

For you guys that change your own oil:

The filter housing is "buried" in the small space on top of your engine.
In order to remove the filter housing (which is re-used) to remove
the filter element, you need to either:
1. Buy a factory filter "cap" wrench.......approx. $120.00....in order to
get into this area without having to disassemble your air intakes

or

2. Buy one of these custom aluminum filter wrenches from me.......$39.00.
You can get your hand and the wrench in there, & loosen and
tighten the housing without any disassembly. It works great!
I've changed the oil on my Gallardo and this tool is definitely
a time saver.

The only other item you need is a #50 "star" (torx) wrench on a socket fitting
for the oil tank and oil pan bolts.

One more thing, when removing the filter element from the housing, turn
it 1/4" turn clockwise, and it will come out. I found this out the hard way.
There are two clips that hold the filter element in the housing. Don't "pry"
the element out of the housing or you'll break the clips!
