I live about 200mi from the dealer I use. To answer your question, I pay to transport the Gallardo for service - cost about $1000. To help justify the transportation I ask for a complete check of all the systems and to proactively change the battery (every 24 months) any filters, etc. that should be changed for the next 12 months.
