Yeah, those prices you mentioned are true today, however, most of the cars I posted reflect transactions which were closed at least 4 years ago. There really was a time where you could buy a "C+ to B-" Lp400s or 5000s for under 50k, or around 30000 GBP. Yes, it is hard to believe, but if you don't believe me, buy a Hemmings from 1998-early 2003. You will find that prices are relatively 40% higher. For example, a 1988 QV with 12k km was being offered for $74k USD in 2002. If you look on ebay right now, pretty much the same car is up for grabs, but the BIN fee is an ugly $107k USD.

As far as Miuras go, I couldn't agree with you more. There is one helluva surge of appreciation goin' on!

The last time I saw a Miura under 50k usd was August 1988, where a Yellow
'67 P400 with 56000km was being offered for 49000 USD. Even in 1988, you began to see some of the SV's selling around $200k! (But they went way down around 1994).

I wish I liked Ferraris as much as I like Lamborghinis, because a Testarossa is much much much more affoardable than a Countach; but I am smitten by the bull.
