I am looking at several Diablos one of which is a 1991.

I have heard that most cars had the hydraulic cam chain tightener replaced by a manual one as the chain sometimes was overtightened and snapped casuing huge damage.

I am not a mechanic and wouldnt know what to look for but is it easy for a mechnaic to spot whether this has been done or is it a case of opening up the engine/internals of the car to see if it has been replaced?


I also heard tthat UK RHD cars were not affected/ had manual tensioner from the start??

I have also heard that the primary drive shaft fails on early cars and that rusting can be an issue

Should I just avoid 1991 Diablos like the plague and buy a later one to avoid horror bills?
