Default Removal of Jalpa ignition switch

Hello, I have a strange electrical problem which I think is related to the ignition switch. I'm trying to remove it from the housing of an 86 Jalpa w/o luck so far. I've turned the key to disengage the steering lock and the two screws holding the front plate to the metal steering column shroud. I do not see a screw which is #39 on the parts manual

click on Jalpa 3.5 to get the picture.

I'm wondering if I have to insert something in a little hole I see to depress something to remove the ignition cylinder similar to a Fiat.
