Smile Update on speaker grill removal - Need more help for speaker replacement

Once you remove the screw in the bottom of the grill, you need to push in on the top and bottom ends of the grill closest to the storage compartment. While doing that, grab the other end, which is kind of loose from the screw removal, and pull toward the door hinge. (Not "out" towards you, but to the right for the left grill, to the left for the right grill). There are 3 "dog-leg hooks" on the inside of the speaker grill....one on the top of the end toward the storage compartment, one on the bottom of the end toward the storage compartment, and one on the top of the other end.

Anyway, after having accomplished this amazing feat, I still can't replace the door speakers, which was what my goal was originally. I assume that the door panel must be removed, or at least "hinged" up fairly far. There is a screw that you can access once the grill is removed. I removed it. I also removed the screw that is on the inside top portion of the door panel. This still did not "free" the door panel enough to replace the door speaker......which is a round speaker by the way, approx. 8"?.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?
