) , I'd agree with having most any car checked out and Especially Exotics. Believe it or not, even Brand New cars can be flooded or damaged in shipping.
And it's never a bad idea to run potential purchases by the members here, because in my experience someone here knows something about as many pre-2002 cars than you can imagine.
